How this score is calculated
A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:
- Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
- Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
- Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
- Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
- Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).
Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.
Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

What is KuCoin Token (KCS)?
KCS is the native token of the KuCoin exchange. It launched in 2017 as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, and part of it later moved to the KuCoin Community Chain (KCC), an EVM-compatible network that launched in June 2021 and used KCS as its gas token. KCS is one of the earliest exchange tokens. KuCoin has described a model in which holders share in trading fee income and the exchange buys back and burns tokens from profit, though the terms are set by the company and can change.
What KCS is used for
KCS is tied to benefits on the exchange. KuCoin describes several uses for it.
- Discounts on trading fees when fees are paid in KCS
- Staking on KuCoin Earn, with bonuses funded by trading fees
- Early access to new token sales on the Spotlight platform
- Gas for transactions and applications on KCC
- Exposure to the exchange's growth through the buyback and burn design
KCS supply and token design
The original supply was 200 million KCS. KuCoin's stated goal is to reduce supply to 100 million by buying back and burning the token with part of the exchange's net profit, with the burn carried out on a regular schedule, typically monthly. Once supply reaches 100 million, the burn is meant to stop. This design means the number of tokens falls over time, but it depends on the exchange choosing to keep the program running and on how much profit it earns. Since the amount outstanding changes with each burn, holders should treat the 200 million figure as the starting point, not as the present supply. Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page.
Official information is on kucoin.com.
What to check before using KCS
- Single-company exposure: KCS depends on the exchange's business, regulation and decisions on burns and benefits.
- Program changes: the burn schedule, profit share and staking terms are set by KuCoin and can be revised.
- Multiple networks: KCS has existed as an ERC-20 token and on KCC, so confirm which network a balance sits on before transferring it.
- Custody: leaving tokens on the exchange adds counterparty risk, and benefits may depend on regional availability.
- Terms: the fee discount level and the staking bonus formula are published by KuCoin and are not fixed by any smart contract.
- Self-reported burns: the burn amounts are announced by KuCoin, so verify them against on-chain transfers.

KuCoin market analysis
With a market capitalisation of $992.17 million, KuCoin (KCS) is classed as a small-cap asset and ranks #74 of 402 cryptocurrencies with a reported market cap on CryptoWave, larger than about 81.6% of them. It accounts for roughly 0.04% of the combined tracked market value. Small-cap assets can move quickly on news or exchange listings, and liquidity can thin out fast in sell-offs.
Over the last 24 hours roughly $4.94 million of KCS changed hands, equal to 0.50% of its market cap, which puts its trading volume ahead of about 54.0% of tracked assets. That is a quiet level of turnover, so large orders may meet limited depth. Its turnover ratio is higher than that of about 29% of tracked assets.
Price action: KCS moved −0.28% in 24 hours and −2.95% over 7 days. It outperformed Bitcoin by 1.40 percentage points over 24 hours and by 1.30 points over 7 days. Against the median tracked coin (ahead by 1.28 points on the day and ahead by 1.94 points on the week), it has been a relative strength in recent sessions.
To overtake Gate (GT) just above it, KuCoin would need to grow its market cap by about 0.6%; it is 6.7% larger than POL (ex-MATIC) (POL) just below. Its market cap is 0.06% of Bitcoin's.
