How this score is calculated

A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:

  • Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
  • Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
  • Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
  • Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
  • Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).

Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.

Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

About GHO

What is GHO?

GHO is a decentralised, over-collateralised stablecoin native to the Aave protocol. Aave Governance, the community of AAVE token holders, controls its parameters. It is an ERC-20 token that originates on Ethereum and is meant to track the US dollar. Nobody deposits dollars to receive it: GHO is created when users borrow it against collateral.

How GHO works

To mint GHO, a user supplies approved collateral to Aave v3 and borrows GHO within the usual collateral limits. If the position becomes unsafe it can be liquidated, as with other Aave loans. Aave Governance sets the borrow interest rate and approves the contracts, called facilitators, that are allowed to mint and burn GHO.

  • Aave v3 facilitator: mints GHO against collateral.
  • GHO Stability Module: lets users swap GHO with approved tokens at a fixed 1:1 price, which helps anchor the peg. Fees go to the Aave DAO treasury, and exposure caps and oracle checks limit the risk.
  • Flash minting: GHO can be minted and repaid within one transaction, useful for liquidations and arbitrage.

If the 30-day average price drifts outside a set band around $1, GHO Stewards can adjust the borrow rate within limits set by governance.

GHO supply and token design

GHO has no fixed supply cap. Each facilitator has a bucket capacity set by governance, and that capacity limits how much GHO it can create. Supply therefore grows with borrowing demand and shrinks as loans are repaid.

Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page. GHO is deployed on Arbitrum, Base, Avalanche, Gnosis, Mantle, Monad, Plasma and XLayer in addition to Ethereum, with cross-chain transfers handled through Chainlink CCIP. The Ethereum contract is 0x40d16fc0246ad3160ccc09b8d0d3a2cd28ae6c2f.

Official information is on gho.xyz.

GHO also gives Aave users a way to borrow a stablecoin created inside the protocol.

What to check before using GHO

  • Peg risk: GHO is backed by borrowers' collateral, not by cash reserves, so it can trade away from $1, especially during market stress.
  • Collateral and liquidation risk: if you borrow GHO, falling collateral prices can trigger liquidation.
  • Stability module exposure: the module holds other stablecoins, so problems with those assets can affect GHO's backing.
  • Smart-contract and governance risk: parameters, caps and facilitators can change by governance vote, and bugs in any connected contract are a risk.
  • Cross-chain risk: bridged GHO relies on CCIP and on the contracts of each chain.

GHO market analysis

With a market capitalisation of $697.55 million, GHO (GHO) is classed as a small-cap asset and ranks #91 of 1,341 cryptocurrencies with a reported market cap on CryptoWave, larger than about 93.2% of them. It accounts for roughly 0.03% of the combined tracked market value. Small-cap assets can move quickly on news or exchange listings, and liquidity can thin out fast in sell-offs.

Over the last 24 hours roughly $15.74 million of GHO changed hands, equal to 2.26% of its market cap, which puts its trading volume ahead of about 90.4% of tracked assets. That is a moderate, fairly typical level of turnover. Its turnover ratio is higher than that of about 36% of tracked assets.

Price action: GHO moved −0.05% in 24 hours and −0.01% over 7 days. It outperformed Bitcoin by 2.13 percentage points over 24 hours and by 3.85 points over 7 days. Against the median tracked coin (ahead by 2.19 points on the day and ahead by 6.20 points on the week), it has been a relative strength in recent sessions.

To overtake Filecoin (FIL) just above it, GHO would need to grow its market cap by about 3.8%; it is 1.3% larger than Injective (INJ) just below. Its market cap is 0.05% of Bitcoin's.
