ⓘ Circulating · Total supply · Max supply
Circulating supply: coins currently available to trade, as reported by the data provider.
Total supply: coins created so far, minus any burned. It includes locked or not-yet-released coins.
Max supply: the hard cap on coins that can ever exist. Shown as “No max supply” when the protocol sets no cap.
CryptoWave Health score
Five measurable signals. Each ring segment’s length is its weight; how full it is shows the score.
Volume is 5.36% of market cap. Trades easily.
$767.77M market cap, rank #88. Bigger is harder to push around.
100% of the total supply circulates. Little dilution ahead.
96.8% below its all-time high of $43.84.
Largest recent swing: 4.53% a day. Moderate.
Describes market structure today. Not a price forecast and not investment advice.
How this score is calculated
A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:
- Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
- Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
- Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
- Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
- Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).
Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.
Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

What is Cosmos Hub (ATOM)?
The Cosmos Hub is a proof-of-stake blockchain and the first chain in the Cosmos ecosystem, a network of independent, interconnected blockchains. ATOM is its native token. The Hub mainnet went live on 13 March 2019, after a 2017 token sale run by the Interchain Foundation, a Swiss non-profit that funds Cosmos public goods. The original software, Tendermint, was built by Tendermint Inc. and is now maintained as CometBFT.
How Cosmos Hub works
The Hub is secured by validators that run CometBFT consensus. ATOM holders delegate their tokens to validators and receive staking rewards in return, and delegated tokens can be slashed if a validator misbehaves. The Hub is built with the Cosmos SDK and connects to other chains through the Inter-Blockchain Communication protocol (IBC), which lets chains pass tokens and messages to each other without a central bridge operator.
ATOM is used for:
- Staking to secure the network and earn rewards.
- Voting on on-chain governance proposals, including changes to parameters such as inflation.
- Paying transaction fees on the Hub.
ATOM supply and token design
ATOM has no fixed maximum supply. New ATOM is issued as staking rewards, and the inflation rate adjusts with the share of supply that is staked, within bounds set by governance. Those bounds have been changed by community votes before, and Cosmos Labs has announced work on redesigning ATOM's token economics, so check current governance parameters on a Cosmos explorer. Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page.
ATOM also circulates on other chains in wrapped or IBC-transferred form. These representations depend on the bridge or channel that created them.
Cosmos is designed so that each application chain can have its own validators, token and rules while still exchanging assets through IBC. The Hub was conceived as a central point for this network, but chains can connect to each other directly, and the Hub is only one participant among many.
Official information is on cosmos.network.
What to check before using ATOM
- Inflation dilutes holders who do not stake, and the rules can change by governance vote.
- Unbonding takes time, so staked ATOM cannot be moved instantly.
- Delegating to a validator carries slashing risk if that validator is penalised.
- The Cosmos Hub is one of many Cosmos chains, and its token does not automatically capture the value of activity on other chains.
- Wrapped or IBC versions of ATOM on other networks carry extra bridge and channel risk.

Cosmos Hub market analysis
With a market capitalisation of $767.77 million, Cosmos Hub (ATOM) is classed as a small-cap asset and ranks #88 of 1,340 cryptocurrencies with a reported market cap on CryptoWave, larger than about 93.4% of them. It accounts for roughly 0.03% of the combined tracked market value. Small-cap assets can move quickly on news or exchange listings, and liquidity can thin out fast in sell-offs.
Over the last 24 hours roughly $41.14 million of ATOM changed hands, equal to 5.36% of its market cap, which puts its trading volume ahead of about 95.2% of tracked assets. That is a moderate, fairly typical level of turnover. Its turnover ratio is higher than that of about 56% of tracked assets.
Price action: ATOM moved −2.93% in 24 hours and −11.79% over 7 days. It underperformed Bitcoin by 0.72 percentage points over 24 hours and by 7.66 points over 7 days. Against the median tracked coin (behind by 0.65 points on the day and behind by 5.57 points on the week), it has been a relative laggard in recent sessions.
To overtake Lighter (LIT) just above it, Cosmos Hub would need to grow its market cap by about 0.2%; it is 3.9% larger than NEXO (NEXO) just below. Its market cap is 0.05% of Bitcoin's.
