ⓘ Circulating · Total supply · Max supply
Circulating supply: coins currently available to trade, as reported by the data provider.
Total supply: coins created so far, minus any burned. It includes locked or not-yet-released coins.
Max supply: the hard cap on coins that can ever exist. Shown as “No max supply” when the protocol sets no cap.
CryptoWave Health score
Five measurable signals. Each ring segment’s length is its weight; how full it is shows the score.
Volume is 2.80% of market cap. Normal turnover for its size.
$178.62M market cap, rank #194. Bigger is harder to push around.
93% of the maximum supply circulates. Little dilution ahead.
96.8% below its all-time high of $60.09.
Largest recent swing: 6.32% a day. Volatile.
Describes market structure today. Not a price forecast and not investment advice.
How this score is calculated
A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:
- Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
- Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
- Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
- Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
- Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).
Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.
Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

What is Convex Finance (CVX)?
Convex Finance is a DeFi protocol on Ethereum that boosts rewards for users of Curve and Frax. It launched in 2021. Instead of every user locking Curve's CRV token themselves, Convex pools deposits and locks CRV on their behalf, so depositors receive boosted rewards without a lock-up of their own.
CVX is Convex's governance and fee token.
What CVX is used for
The Convex documentation describes three roles:
- Staking: staked CVX earns a share of platform fees, paid as cvxCRV and cvxFXS.
- Vote-locking: CVX locked for at least 16 weeks lets holders direct how Convex votes with its veCRV and veFXS, such as on gauge weights.
- Rewards: CVX is paid to those who stake CRV or provide liquidity through Convex.
cvxCRV is a token that represents CRV locked as veCRV through Convex.
The practical effect is that Curve depositors can stake their liquidity tokens on Convex and receive CRV rewards at a boosted rate, plus CVX. Convex keeps a portion of the rewards as a platform fee, and part of that fee flows to CVX stakers as cvxCRV. This makes CVX a claim on how Convex steers votes and earns fees, not on Curve itself. Convex also supports Frax Finance, where vote-locked CVX earns additional fees from Frax liquidity providers.
CVX supply and token design
CVX has a maximum supply of 100 million tokens. It is minted in proportion to the CRV that Curve liquidity providers claim through Convex, and the mint rate decreases as more is created. At launch, the allocation was 50% to Curve LP rewards, 25% to liquidity mining, 10% to the team, 9.7% to treasury, 3.3% to investors and 2% to veCRV holder airdrops. Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page.
The Ethereum contract is 0x4e3fbd56cd56c3e72c1403e103b45db9da5b9d2b.

What to check before using CVX
- Dependence on Curve and Frax: Convex's returns follow those protocols, and changes to them affect CVX.
- Smart contract risk: funds deposited into Convex are held by contracts that can fail.
- Lock-ups: vote-locked CVX cannot be withdrawn until the lock ends.
- Reward rates change with market conditions and are not guaranteed.
- Governance weight can be concentrated among large lockers.

Convex Finance market analysis
With a market capitalisation of $178.62 million, Convex Finance (CVX) is classed as a small-cap asset and ranks #194 of 1,340 cryptocurrencies with a reported market cap on CryptoWave, larger than about 85.5% of them. It accounts for roughly under 0.01% of the combined tracked market value. Small-cap assets can move quickly on news or exchange listings, and liquidity can thin out fast in sell-offs.
Over the last 24 hours roughly $4.99 million of CVX changed hands, equal to 2.80% of its market cap, which puts its trading volume ahead of about 81.7% of tracked assets. That is a moderate, fairly typical level of turnover. Its turnover ratio is higher than that of about 41% of tracked assets.
Price action: CVX moved −6.05% in 24 hours and −16.42% over 7 days. It underperformed Bitcoin by 3.84 percentage points over 24 hours and by 12.29 points over 7 days. Against the median tracked coin (behind by 3.77 points on the day and behind by 10.21 points on the week), it has been a relative laggard in recent sessions.
To overtake Maple Finance (SYRUP) just above it, Convex Finance would need to grow its market cap by about 0.6%; it is 0.2% larger than BTSE Token (BTSE) just below. Its market cap is 0.01% of Bitcoin's.
