How this score is calculated
A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:
- Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
- Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
- Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
- Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
- Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).
Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.
Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

What is BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund (BUIDL)?
BUIDL is a tokenized money market style fund from BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager. BlackRock launched it on 20 March 2024 on Ethereum, describing it as its first fund issued on a public blockchain. Each token represents a share in the fund and targets a stable value of one US dollar.
How BUIDL works
The fund invests all of its assets in cash, US Treasury bills and repurchase agreements. Securitize acts as transfer agent and tokenization platform, and also runs the onboarding and placement of investors. BNY Mellon serves as custodian and administrator, and BlackRock Financial Management is the investment manager.
Shareholders receive dividends that accrue daily. These are paid out as additional BUIDL tokens to their wallets each month, so the balance grows while the token aims to stay at one dollar.
Who can hold BUIDL
BUIDL is not a retail product. It is offered to qualified purchasers, generally institutions with substantial investable assets, through Securitize under US private-offering exemptions (Rule 506(c) and Section 3(c)(7)). At launch the initial minimum investment was 5 million dollars. Investors must complete identity checks and have their wallet approved before they can subscribe, hold or transfer shares.
BUIDL supply and token design
BUIDL has no fixed cap. Tokens are issued when approved investors subscribe and are redeemed when they exit, so supply follows demand. Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page.
BUIDL sits between traditional finance and on-chain settlement. Shares exist as tokens on a public blockchain, but the legal register is kept by the transfer agent, and every wallet must be approved before it can receive tokens. This is why BUIDL is mostly used by institutions, crypto treasuries and tokenization platforms that want a dollar-based holding that earns Treasury yield while staying on-chain. Its tokens are shares in a regulated fund structure, so they follow fund rules on subscriptions, redemptions and reporting, not the open design of a typical crypto stablecoin.
Official information is on blackrock.com.
What to check before using BUIDL
- Eligibility: ordinary retail users generally cannot subscribe directly, and secondary trading venues may carry extra restrictions.
- Permissioned transfers: shares can move only between wallets approved by the transfer agent, which limits DeFi use.
- Fund and counterparty risk: returns depend on Treasury bill and repo markets, and on the custodian, transfer agent and administrator.
- Not a bank deposit: BUIDL is a fund share with a target price, not an insured deposit or a guaranteed one-dollar claim.
- Pricing: tokens traded on third-party markets can deviate from the redemption value.
