How this score is calculated

A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:

  • Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
  • Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
  • Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
  • Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
  • Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).

Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.

Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

About MX

What is MX (MX)?

MX is the exchange token of MEXC, a global centralized cryptocurrency exchange. It is an Ethereum-based token. MEXC serves traders in many countries and lists a wide range of spot and futures markets, and MX is the token that links regular users to the exchange's own incentive programmes. Its role is tied to the MEXC platform, so it behaves differently from a coin that powers its own blockchain.

What MX is used for

MEXC describes several benefits for holders of MX. Their scope and discount levels are set by the exchange and can change.

  • Trading-fee discounts when fees are paid in MX, with tiers depending on holdings.
  • Staking or locking programmes that pay rewards.
  • Voting on platform matters such as new listings.
  • Access to launchpad and token-distribution events on the exchange.

MX supply and token design

MX has no fixed cap. Its design relies on a buyback and burn programme: MEXC has said it uses 40% of platform profits each quarter to repurchase MX and permanently remove it from circulation. Total supply has therefore declined since the programme began in 2022, and the size and timing of each burn depend on the exchange's results and decisions. Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page.

The Ethereum contract is 0x11eef04c884e24d9b7b4760e7476d06ddf797f36. Check it on a block explorer, since exchange tokens are often copied by fake contracts. Because MX is an ordinary ERC-20 token, it can be held in a self-custody wallet as well as on the exchange, and the contract itself does not enforce any burn or discount, which are exchange-level policies.

Official information is on mexc.com.

What to check before using MX

  • Exchange dependence: MX utility rests on MEXC continuing to operate and to honour its fee, staking and burn programmes.
  • Discretionary burns: the burn schedule is set by the exchange, and past burns do not guarantee future ones.
  • Benefit changes: fee discounts, staking terms and eligibility can be altered by the exchange without a protocol vote.
  • Regional availability: MEXC services are restricted in some countries, so confirm that you may use the exchange where you live.
  • Concentration: the token's fortunes follow a single exchange, with none of the diversification a general-purpose network offers.
  • Custody: tokens held on an exchange are exposed to the platform's own custody and solvency risks, so consider holding them in your own wallet.

MX market analysis

With a market capitalisation of $145.40 million, MX (MX) is classed as a small-cap asset and ranks #222 of 1,341 cryptocurrencies with a reported market cap on CryptoWave, larger than about 83.4% of them. It accounts for roughly under 0.01% of the combined tracked market value. Small-cap assets can move quickly on news or exchange listings, and liquidity can thin out fast in sell-offs.

Over the last 24 hours roughly $6.88 million of MX changed hands, equal to 4.73% of its market cap, which puts its trading volume ahead of about 84.5% of tracked assets. That is a moderate, fairly typical level of turnover. Its turnover ratio is higher than that of about 53% of tracked assets.

Price action: MX moved −1.24% in 24 hours and +0.46% over 7 days. It outperformed Bitcoin by 0.94 percentage points over 24 hours and by 4.32 points over 7 days. Against the median tracked coin (ahead by 1.00 points on the day and ahead by 6.67 points on the week), it has been a relative strength in recent sessions.

To overtake Stargate Finance (STG) just above it, MX would need to grow its market cap by about 0.3%; it is 0.4% larger than Axie Infinity (AXS) just below. Its market cap is under 0.01% of Bitcoin's.

MX FAQ

What is MX?

MX is the exchange token of MEXC, a centralized crypto exchange. It is an Ethereum-based token that offers fee discounts and other benefits on the platform.

What is MX used for?

MX holders can pay trading fees for a discount, join staking programmes, vote on platform matters and join launchpad events on MEXC. Terms are set by the exchange.

How does the MX burn work?

MEXC says it uses 40% of platform profits each quarter to buy back MX and burn it. Burns reduce total supply and their size depends on the exchange's results.
