How this score is calculated

A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:

  • Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
  • Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
  • Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
  • Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
  • Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).

Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.

Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

About InfiniFi USD

What is InfiniFi USD (IUSD)?

InfiniFi USD, written iUSD, is the receipt token of infiniFi, a DeFi protocol that applies fractional-reserve banking principles to onchain yield. Users deposit USDC and receive iUSD, which is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. iUSD itself does not pay interest. Yield comes from two products built on top of it, and the protocol deploys deposits across venues such as Pendle, Ethena and Aave. Because "USD" tokens are common, match the contract below to be sure you have this one.

How iUSD works

The protocol keeps a liquid USDC reserve and sends the rest of the capital to liquid and illiquid positions, ordered by duration. Locked positions are matched to the duration of the underlying assets, and longer locks or votes for a specific asset take a larger share of any loss. Holders choose how to use iUSD:

  • Hold iUSD as a redeemable receipt with no yield.
  • Stake it as siUSD for liquid returns. This can be converted back to iUSD instantly.
  • Lock it as liUSD for illiquid returns and governance actions, in exchange for taking losses first.

IUSD supply and token design

There is no fixed cap, because iUSD is created when USDC is deposited and removed when redeemed. Direct redemptions run through a queue that is funded as illiquid positions mature, so they can be temporarily unavailable. In that case holders can sell iUSD on pools such as Curve, usually at a discount during stress. Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page.

The loss order is set out in the docs. A realised loss is applied first to locked positions, pro rata. Senior iUSD and siUSD absorb losses only if the locked tranche is fully depleted, and any remaining loss reaches them through a reduced redemption value. The Ethereum contract is 0x48f9e38f3070ad8945dfeae3fa70987722e3d89c.

Official information is on docs.infinifi.xyz.

What to check before using IUSD

  • It is not a one-to-one cash-backed stablecoin. Reserves are partly in positions that cannot be sold at once.
  • Redemption can be delayed during a rush to exit, and secondary prices can slip below one dollar.
  • Losses in the underlying protocols, a hack or a default, can reduce redemption values if they exceed the locked buffer.
  • The docs do not give a fixed reserve ratio, so the liquidity buffer can change.
  • Stacked smart-contract risk from every venue the protocol uses applies to your position.

InfiniFi USD market analysis

With a market capitalisation of $60.76 million, InfiniFi USD (IUSD) is classed as a micro-cap asset and ranks #314 of 406 cryptocurrencies with a reported market cap on CryptoWave, larger than about 22.7% of them. It accounts for roughly under 0.01% of the combined tracked market value. Micro-cap assets are thinly traded in most cases: a modest order can move the price and spreads are often wide.

Over the last 24 hours roughly $1.3 thousand of IUSD changed hands, equal to 0.00% of its market cap, which puts its trading volume ahead of about 14.3% of tracked assets. Trading activity is very low relative to market cap, which usually points to poor liquidity. Its turnover ratio is higher than that of about 13% of tracked assets.

Price action: IUSD moved +0.01% in 24 hours and +0.01% over 7 days. It outperformed Bitcoin by 2.19 percentage points over 24 hours and by 3.60 points over 7 days. Against the median tracked coin (ahead by 2.01 points on the day and ahead by 4.51 points on the week), it has been a relative strength in recent sessions.

To overtake Diem (DIEM) just above it, InfiniFi USD would need to grow its market cap by about 0.6%; it is 0.8% larger than Tradable LatAm BNPL SSTN (PC0000027) just below. Its market cap is under 0.01% of Bitcoin's.

InfiniFi USD FAQ

What is InfiniFi USD (IUSD)?

iUSD is the receipt token of infiniFi, minted when USDC is deposited. It does not pay interest itself, and yield comes from staking as siUSD or locking as liUSD.

What is the difference between iUSD, siUSD and liUSD?

iUSD is the base receipt, siUSD is the staked liquid form, and liUSD is the locked form that takes losses first in return for illiquid returns and governance.

Is iUSD fully backed by cash?

No. infiniFi uses a fractional-reserve model, keeping a liquid USDC reserve and deploying the rest into liquid and illiquid positions.

What happens if iUSD loses its peg?

Direct redemptions go through a queue, and iUSD can be sold on pools such as Curve, often at a discount until the peg recovers.
