ⓘ Circulating · Total supply · Max supply
Circulating supply: coins currently available to trade, as reported by the data provider.
Total supply: coins created so far, minus any burned. It includes locked or not-yet-released coins.
Max supply: the hard cap on coins that can ever exist. Shown as “No max supply” when the protocol sets no cap.
CryptoWave Health score
Five measurable signals. Each ring segment’s length is its weight; how full it is shows the score.
Volume is 9.55% of market cap. Trades easily.
$774.88M market cap, rank #87. Bigger is harder to push around.
25% of the maximum supply circulates. Big unlocks could dilute holders.
60.6% below its all-time high of $7.86.
Largest recent swing: 3.71% a day. Moderate.
Describes market structure today. Not a price forecast and not investment advice.
How this score is calculated
A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:
- Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
- Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
- Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
- Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
- Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).
Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.
Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

What is Lighter (LIT)?
Lighter is a perpetual futures exchange built as an application-specific zero-knowledge rollup on Ethereum. It is developed by Elliot Technologies, led by Vladimir Novakovski, a former Citadel engineer. Lighter's public mainnet launched on 2 October 2025, and the LIT token launched on 30 December 2025. LIT is the protocol's native token.
How Lighter works
Lighter runs a central limit order book. Matching, margin and liquidation rules are enforced through validity proofs, and user collateral is held in Ethereum smart contracts. If the sequencer censors a user, the design includes a forced exit route through Ethereum.
LIT's roles are tied to the exchange:
- Staking LIT to expand deposit capacity in the Lighter Liquidity Pool.
- Staking to reduce trading fees and waive some transfer and withdrawal fees.
- Supporting buybacks, as trading fees fund open-market purchases of LIT that are burned.
There is no on-chain governance for LIT holders.
LIT supply and token design
The maximum supply is 1 billion LIT. The distribution is 25% airdrop, 25% ecosystem reserve, 26% team and 24% investors. No public token sale was held. Team and investor tokens have a one-year cliff followed by three years of linear vesting, so unlocks continue into 2029. Staking rewards drawn from the ecosystem reserve may add to circulating tokens over time. Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page.
The Ethereum contract is 0x232ce3bd40fcd6f80f3d55a522d03f25df784ee2.
Lighter's markets include crypto perpetuals and some markets for tokenized real-world assets, which depend on external price feeds. Staking LIT can reduce premium account trading fees by up to 30%, so the benefits you receive depend on how much you stake and which account tier you use.
Official information is on lighter.xyz.
What to check before using LIT
- Vesting unlocks for insiders will run for years, and they may outpace token burns.
- One operator sequences all trades, and contracts can be upgraded, so users rely on the team's operational security.
- Perpetual futures use leverage and can liquidate positions quickly, and liquidity pool depositors take the opposite side of trader gains and losses.
- Lighter has been reported as not accepting US residents, so check access rules for your country.
- Staking utility and fee discounts are set by the protocol and may change.

Lighter market analysis
With a market capitalisation of $774.88 million, Lighter (LIT) is classed as a small-cap asset and ranks #87 of 1,340 cryptocurrencies with a reported market cap on CryptoWave, larger than about 93.5% of them. It accounts for roughly 0.03% of the combined tracked market value. Small-cap assets can move quickly on news or exchange listings, and liquidity can thin out fast in sell-offs.
Over the last 24 hours roughly $74.01 million of LIT changed hands, equal to 9.55% of its market cap, which puts its trading volume ahead of about 96.6% of tracked assets. That is an active level of turnover for an asset of this size. Its turnover ratio is higher than that of about 68% of tracked assets.
Price action: LIT moved −3.71% in 24 hours and +3.68% over 7 days. It underperformed Bitcoin by 1.50 percentage points over 24 hours but outperformed it by 7.81 points over 7 days. Against the median tracked coin (behind by 1.43 points on the day and ahead by 9.90 points on the week), it has been a relative strength in recent sessions.
To overtake Render (RENDER) just above it, Lighter would need to grow its market cap by about 2.6%; it is 0.9% larger than Cosmos Hub (ATOM) just below. Its market cap is 0.05% of Bitcoin's.
