ⓘ Circulating · Total supply · Max supply
Circulating supply: coins currently available to trade, as reported by the data provider.
Total supply: coins created so far, minus any burned. It includes locked or not-yet-released coins.
Max supply: the hard cap on coins that can ever exist. Shown as “No max supply” when the protocol sets no cap.
CryptoWave Health score
Five measurable signals. Each ring segment’s length is its weight; how full it is shows the score.
Volume is 2.28% of market cap. Normal turnover for its size.
$50.46M market cap, rank #336. Bigger is harder to push around.
100% of the total supply circulates. Little dilution ahead.
98.9% below its all-time high of $0.0467.
Largest recent swing: 5.52% a day. Moderate.
Describes market structure today. Not a price forecast and not investment advice.
How this score is calculated
A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:
- Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
- Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
- Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
- Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
- Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).
Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.
Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

What is VeThor (VTHO)?
VeThor (VTHO) is the gas token of VeChainThor, the public blockchain behind VeChain. It sits beside VET in the network's dual-token design: VET carries value and secures the network, while VTHO pays for transactions and smart contract execution. The VeChainThor mainnet launched in 2018, when the earlier VEN token was moved to the native VET token.
How VTHO works
VeChain separated the cost of using the chain from the price of its main asset so that network usage costs stay predictable for businesses. The design means a rising VET price does not by itself make transactions more expensive.
- Gas: VTHO pays for transactions and contract execution, with the price set by a fee market.
- Generation: VTHO is created every block. Before the Hayabusa upgrade, holding VET generated VTHO at a fixed rate. Since Hayabusa, generation depends on total staked VET, with the formula using a square root so output grows more slowly as more VET is staked.
- Fees: since the Galactica fork, the base fee of each transaction is burned and the priority fee goes to the validator that proposed the block.
VTHO supply and token design
Unlike VET, VTHO has no fixed maximum supply. Issuance is tied to staking, and the burning of base fees offsets it. The Hayabusa upgrade moved VeChainThor from Proof of Authority to a Delegated Proof of Stake model with public validators, and becoming a validator requires staking 25 million VET. Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page.
VTHO is a native asset of the VeChainThor chain rather than a token you create by sending to a contract on Ethereum, so check that an exchange or wallet supports the real VeChainThor network before depositing.
Official information is on vechain.org.
What to check before using VTHO
- VTHO is a utility token for fees. Its value depends on network activity and on how much is generated and burned.
- With no fixed cap, supply changes over time, and the generation formula was changed by the Hayabusa upgrade.
- Rewards and generation now depend on staking VET, which locks capital and carries validator and protocol risk.
- VTHO and VET are separate assets with separate price behavior, so holding one is not the same as holding the other.
- Network upgrades have changed how VTHO works before, so rely on current official documentation rather than older guides.

VeThor market analysis
With a market capitalisation of $50.46 million, VeThor (VTHO) is classed as a micro-cap asset and ranks #437 of 406 cryptocurrencies with a reported market cap on CryptoWave, larger than about 0.0% of them. It accounts for roughly under 0.01% of the combined tracked market value. Micro-cap assets are thinly traded in most cases: a modest order can move the price and spreads are often wide.
Over the last 24 hours roughly $1.15 million of VTHO changed hands, equal to 2.28% of its market cap, which puts its trading volume ahead of about 0.0% of tracked assets. That is a moderate, fairly typical level of turnover. Its turnover ratio is higher than that of about 52% of tracked assets.
Price action: VTHO moved −5.52% in 24 hours and −6.48% over 7 days. It underperformed Bitcoin by 3.34 percentage points over 24 hours and by 2.89 points over 7 days. Against the median tracked coin (behind by 3.52 points on the day and behind by 1.99 points on the week), it has been a relative laggard in recent sessions.
To overtake RE (RE) just above it, VeThor would need to grow its market cap by about 0.6%; it is 0.0% larger than BlackRock Daily Reinvestment Stablecoin Reserve Vehicle (BRSRV) just below. Its market cap is under 0.01% of Bitcoin's.

VeThor FAQ
What is VeThor (VTHO)?
VTHO is the gas token of the VeChainThor blockchain. It pays for transactions and smart contract execution, while VET is the main value and staking token.
How is VTHO generated?
VTHO is created every block. Before the Hayabusa upgrade it was generated by holding VET at a fixed rate, and since then generation depends on the total amount of VET staked.
Does VTHO have a maximum supply?
No. VTHO has no fixed maximum supply, and issuance is offset by burning the base fee of each transaction. Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page.
Is VTHO the same as VET?
No. VET is the main token used for value and staking, and VTHO pays for network fees. They are separate assets with separate prices.
