What is Theo Short Duration US Treasury Fund (THBILL)?
thBILL is a tokenized money market fund product from Theo, an onchain platform for institutional-style financial products. It gives onchain access to a basket of short-duration U.S. Treasury bill exposure through regulated issuers. Theo announced thBILL on 24 July 2025, built with Standard Chartered's Libeara, Wellington Management and FundBridge Capital.
How thBILL works
At launch, thBILL held Wellington Management's ULTRA fund, a managed money market fund that holds short-duration U.S. Treasuries, with the fund operated through Libeara and FundBridge. Theo's documentation describes thBILL as a basket that can add further tokenized Treasury products as regulated institutions issue them. On 30 June 2026 Theo added Fidelity International's FILQ, a tokenized USD liquidity fund, to the basket.
The token's value follows the net asset value of the underlying holdings, so it is a yield-bearing fund token and not a payment stablecoin. Theo says integrated market making provides liquidity across several venues, and it offers an optimistic minting feature for streamlined access. THBILL supply and token design
thBILL has no fixed cap. Supply changes as holders mint and redeem against the fund. Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page. The token is live on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum and HyperEVM. The Ethereum contract is 0x5FA487BCa6158c64046B2813623e20755091DA0b, and the other networks use 0xfdd22ce6d1f66bc0ec89b20bf16ccb6670f55a5a.
FILQ is described as the first tokenized liquidity fund to receive an Aaa-mf assessment from Moody's at launch. Theo's announcement of the addition also notes that it is powered by the Chainlink Data Standard. The basket structure means thBILL is meant to reflect several regulated Treasury products at once, rather than a single fund.

- The token depends on the underlying funds, their managers and the issuers and custodians that hold the Treasuries. A failure at any of them could affect redemption.
- Returns track short-term interest rates, so they rise and fall as policy rates change.
- The basket can change over time as Theo adds or alters underlying products, which changes what you are exposed to.
- Access to minting and redemption may be subject to onboarding checks. Secondary market prices can differ from net asset value.
- Smart contract and cross-chain risk applies on every network where the token is deployed. Use only the official addresses.
