Circulating supply: coins currently available to trade, as reported by the data provider.

Max supply: the hard cap on coins that can ever exist. Shown as “No max supply” when the protocol sets no cap.

How this score is calculated

A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:

  • Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
  • Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
  • Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
  • Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
  • Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).

Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.

Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

About Olympus

What is Olympus (OHM)?

Olympus is a decentralized finance protocol on Ethereum built around OHM, a token backed by a treasury of reserve assets. The protocol has operated since March 2021. Olympus calls OHM a flatcoin rather than a stablecoin: it is not pegged to a fiat currency and its price floats, but the protocol aims for relative stability between fiat stablecoins and volatile crypto assets.

The idea is to offer an alternative to stablecoins that depend on centralized issuers. Everything runs on smart contracts, without off-chain dependencies, and the treasury is held and managed by the protocol.

How Olympus works

Olympus uses several mechanisms that work together:

  • Treasury backing: OHM is described as fully backed by the Olympus Treasury, and the liquid reserves behind it set a backing value per token.
  • Protocol Owned Liquidity: Olympus pioneered owning its trading liquidity rather than renting it from liquidity providers, so OHM can be traded during volatile markets.
  • Monetary policy contracts: the original Range Bound Stability system is now disabled. Its work is done by the Yield Repurchase Facility, which buys OHM when the price is low, and the Emissions Manager, which sells OHM when the price is high. Convertible Deposits are another policy tool.
  • Cooler Loans: borrowers can take perpetual loans against the liquid reserves backing OHM, at a fixed 0.5% rate and with no price-based liquidations.
  • gOHM: a wrapped, governance version of OHM. It is the only token used to propose upgrades, to vote, and to act as collateral for a Cooler Loan.

OHM supply and token design

OHM has no fixed maximum supply. New tokens are issued by the protocol's contracts according to its monetary policy, and tokens can be bought back by the treasury. Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page.

OHM lives on Ethereum at 0x64aa3364f17a4d01c6f1751fd97c2bd3d7e7f1d5, with versions on other networks including Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, Berachain and Solana. Holders vote on protocol upgrades, collateral management and monetary policy, and the composition of the backing can be changed by vote.

Official information is on olympusdao.finance.

What to check before using OHM

  • Floating price: OHM is not a stablecoin. Its price can move well away from the backing value in either direction.
  • Treasury composition: the reserves can include volatile crypto assets, and a fall in their value lowers the backing behind each token.
  • Changing design: the protocol has replaced earlier mechanisms like Range Bound Stability. Older guides may describe systems that no longer run.
  • Governance risk: holders can change the backing and policy by vote, which can reshape the risk profile quickly.
  • Cross-chain versions: OHM on other networks relies on bridges. Use only contracts listed by the project.

Olympus market analysis

With a market capitalisation of $274.66 million, Olympus (OHM) is classed as a small-cap asset and ranks #151 of 1,340 cryptocurrencies with a reported market cap on CryptoWave, larger than about 88.7% of them. It accounts for roughly 0.01% of the combined tracked market value. Small-cap assets can move quickly on news or exchange listings, and liquidity can thin out fast in sell-offs.

Over the last 24 hours roughly $165.5 thousand of OHM changed hands, equal to 0.06% of its market cap, which puts its trading volume ahead of about 30.1% of tracked assets. Trading activity is very low relative to market cap, which usually points to poor liquidity. Its turnover ratio is higher than that of about 7% of tracked assets.

Price action: OHM moved −1.99% in 24 hours and −4.29% over 7 days. It outperformed Bitcoin by 0.22 percentage points over 24 hours but underperformed it by 0.16 points over 7 days. Against the median tracked coin (ahead by 0.29 points on the day and ahead by 1.92 points on the week), it has been a relative strength in recent sessions.

To overtake Kite (KITE) just above it, Olympus would need to grow its market cap by about 1.0%; it is 0.7% larger than Gnosis (GNO) just below. Its market cap is 0.02% of Bitcoin's.
