ⓘ Circulating · Total supply · Max supply
Circulating supply: coins currently available to trade, as reported by the data provider.
Total supply: coins created so far, minus any burned. It includes locked or not-yet-released coins.
Max supply: the hard cap on coins that can ever exist. Shown as “No max supply” when the protocol sets no cap.
CryptoWave Health score
Five measurable signals. Each ring segment’s length is its weight; how full it is shows the score.
Volume is 5.90% of market cap. Trades easily.
$271.43M market cap, rank #153. Bigger is harder to push around.
83% of the maximum supply circulates. Little dilution ahead.
95.5% below its all-time high of $7.30.
Largest recent swing: 4.49% a day. Moderate.
Describes market structure today. Not a price forecast and not investment advice.
How this score is calculated
A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:
- Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
- Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
- Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
- Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
- Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).
Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.
Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

What is Lido DAO (LDO)?
Lido DAO is the decentralized autonomous organization that governs Lido, a liquid staking protocol. Lido lets users stake assets such as ETH without locking them up: stakers receive a freely transferable token, such as stETH for Ethereum, that represents their stake and can be used across DeFi. LDO is the governance token of that DAO, and it launched in December 2020 on Ethereum.
What LDO is used for
LDO does not represent a staked position. Staking positions are held in tokens like stETH. LDO is used for governance:
- Voting on proposals through the Aragon-based governance system, where a standard vote needs support from at least 5% of total LDO supply
- Approving the selection of node operators and protocol parameters
- Deciding on fee changes. Lido charges 10% on staking rewards, split between node operators and the DAO treasury, and the DAO can change this through a vote
- Controlling the DAO treasury
Lido also has an optimistic voting path called Easy Track for routine, limited-scope decisions, which can be blocked if holders of 0.5% of total LDO object. Stakers also have a dual governance mechanism that lets stETH holders signal dissent on contentious proposals by depositing stETH into an escrow contract.
LDO supply and token design
One billion LDO were minted when the DAO launched. LDO has no built-in staking reward, emission or burn schedule of its own. Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page.
The main LDO contract is on Ethereum at 0x5a98fcbEA516Cf06857215779Fd812CA3beF1B32, with bridged versions on Polygon, Arbitrum and Optimism. The bridged versions rely on bridges with their own risks. Check the address through Lido's own interface before swapping.
Official information is on stake.lido.fi.
What to check before using LDO
- Governance token only: LDO holders do not receive staking rewards by default, so check what a purchase actually gives you.
- Smart contract risk: the Lido protocol holds very large amounts of staked assets, so a vulnerability could have serious consequences.
- Staking concentration: the share of Ethereum staking that sits in one protocol is a recurring decentralization concern.
- Voting power: governance outcomes depend on how LDO is distributed among holders and delegates.
- Fee dependence: Lido's 10% reward fee is set by DAO vote, so the economics of the protocol can change if governance changes it.

Lido DAO market analysis
With a market capitalisation of $271.43 million, Lido DAO (LDO) is classed as a small-cap asset and ranks #153 of 1,340 cryptocurrencies with a reported market cap on CryptoWave, larger than about 88.6% of them. It accounts for roughly 0.01% of the combined tracked market value. Small-cap assets can move quickly on news or exchange listings, and liquidity can thin out fast in sell-offs.
Over the last 24 hours roughly $16.01 million of LDO changed hands, equal to 5.90% of its market cap, which puts its trading volume ahead of about 90.8% of tracked assets. That is a moderate, fairly typical level of turnover. Its turnover ratio is higher than that of about 57% of tracked assets.
Price action: LDO moved −4.49% in 24 hours and −10.67% over 7 days. It underperformed Bitcoin by 2.28 percentage points over 24 hours and by 6.54 points over 7 days. Against the median tracked coin (behind by 2.22 points on the day and behind by 4.46 points on the week), it has been a relative laggard in recent sessions.
To overtake Gnosis (GNO) just above it, Lido DAO would need to grow its market cap by about 0.9%; it is 0.9% larger than Unibase (UB) just below. Its market cap is 0.02% of Bitcoin's.
