Circulating supply: coins currently available to trade, as reported by the data provider.

Total supply: coins created so far, minus any burned. It includes locked or not-yet-released coins.

Max supply: the hard cap on coins that can ever exist. Shown as “No max supply” when the protocol sets no cap.

How this score is calculated

A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:

  • Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
  • Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
  • Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
  • Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
  • Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).

Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.

Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

About Mantle

What is Mantle (MNT)?

Mantle is an EVM-compatible Ethereum scaling network, also called a layer 2, that settles to Ethereum while running transactions on its own execution layer. MNT is its native token. Mantle grew out of BitDAO: a community vote in mid-2023 (proposal MIP-22) approved converting the BIT token into MNT at a fixed one-to-one ratio, and BitDAO's governance and product work were unified under the Mantle name.

How Mantle works

Mantle uses a modular design that separates execution, data availability, proof generation and settlement. Execution runs on an EVM-compatible layer developed by the Mantle team, settlement runs on Ethereum, and data availability is handled by an external module such as EigenDA. Mantle's documentation says this approach can cut data costs substantially compared with posting everything to Ethereum.

In practice, developers can deploy Ethereum-style smart contracts with few changes, and users can bridge assets between Ethereum and Mantle. The network's focus today is on tokenized real-world assets and stablecoins, alongside DeFi applications.

What MNT is used for

  • Gas: MNT is the token used to pay transaction fees on Mantle. Users need MNT on the network to transact or to start a withdrawal.
  • Governance: MNT holders take part in community governance through the forum, delegation tools and Snapshot voting.
  • Treasury link: the Mantle treasury, which is community-owned, holds MNT as its largest asset, so the token's price also affects the treasury's resources.

MNT supply and token design

The Ethereum token contract shows a total supply of about 6.22 billion MNT, which reflects the one-to-one conversion from BIT. Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page. The same asset exists as an ERC-20 on Ethereum, while on Mantle itself MNT is the native gas token.

The Ethereum contract is 0x3c3a81e81dc49a522a592e7622a7e711c06bf354.

Official information is on mantle.xyz.

What to check before using MNT

  • Treasury concentration: a large share of the treasury is held in MNT itself, so treasury decisions and token price are closely linked.
  • Bridge and withdrawal risk: moving assets between Ethereum and Mantle uses bridge contracts, and withdrawal rules and timings depend on the bridge route you choose.
  • Two networks, two forms: MNT exists as an Ethereum ERC-20 and as the native gas token on Mantle. Use the correct network when depositing or withdrawing.
  • Governance changes: parameters and treasury spending are decided by token-holder votes, so rules can change through proposals.
  • Ecosystem risk: applications on Mantle carry their own smart-contract risk that is separate from the network itself.

Mantle market analysis

With a market capitalisation of $1.55 billion, Mantle (MNT) is classed as a mid-cap asset and ranks #59 of 1,340 cryptocurrencies with a reported market cap on CryptoWave, larger than about 95.6% of them. It accounts for roughly 0.06% of the combined tracked market value. Mid-cap assets sit between the established majors and the speculative long tail, so both growth and drawdowns can be sharp.

Over the last 24 hours roughly $23.47 million of MNT changed hands, equal to 1.51% of its market cap, which puts its trading volume ahead of about 93.1% of tracked assets. That is a quiet level of turnover, so large orders may meet limited depth. Its turnover ratio is higher than that of about 28% of tracked assets.

Price action: MNT moved −1.61% in 24 hours and −8.43% over 7 days. It outperformed Bitcoin by 0.60 percentage points over 24 hours but underperformed it by 4.30 points over 7 days. Against the median tracked coin (ahead by 0.67 points on the day and behind by 2.22 points on the week), it has been a relative laggard in recent sessions.

To overtake World Liberty Financial (WLFI) just above it, Mantle would need to grow its market cap by about 2.5%; it is 2.9% larger than Morpho (MORPHO) just below. Its market cap is 0.10% of Bitcoin's.

Mantle FAQ

What is Mantle (MNT)?

Mantle is an EVM-compatible Ethereum layer 2 network with a modular design. MNT is its native token, used for gas and community governance.

What is MNT used for?

MNT pays gas on the Mantle network and gives holders a vote in Mantle's community governance. It is also the main asset in the community treasury.

What is the relationship between BitDAO and Mantle?

A 2023 community vote approved converting BitDAO's BIT token into MNT at a one-to-one ratio and unified BitDAO's governance with the Mantle product. MNT is the successor token.

How many MNT are there?

The Ethereum token contract shows a total supply of about 6.22 billion MNT. This follows the one-to-one conversion from BIT.
