ⓘ Circulating · Total supply · Max supply
Circulating supply: coins currently available to trade, as reported by the data provider.
Total supply: coins created so far, minus any burned. It includes locked or not-yet-released coins.
Max supply: the hard cap on coins that can ever exist. Shown as “No max supply” when the protocol sets no cap.
CryptoWave Health score
Five measurable signals. Each ring segment’s length is its weight; how full it is shows the score.
Volume is 0.16% of market cap. Thin trading; small orders can move the price.
$2.54B market cap, rank #41. Bigger is harder to push around.
51% of the maximum supply circulates. Little dilution ahead.
94.4% below its all-time high of $0.8915.
Largest recent swing: 2.46% a day. Moderate.
Describes market structure today. Not a price forecast and not investment advice.
How this score is calculated
A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:
- Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
- Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
- Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
- Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
- Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).
Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.
Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

What is Cronos (CRO)?
Cronos (CRO) is the native token of the Cronos blockchain and of the wider Crypto.com ecosystem. Cronos is a layer one network from the crypto exchange Crypto.com, launched in mainnet beta on 8 November 2021. It is built on Cosmos technology with Ethermint, which makes it compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine, so developers can move Ethereum applications onto it with little change. CRO also exists as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. Because it is the fee token of its own chain and also a token of a large exchange group, its role is partly technical and partly commercial.
What CRO is used for
- Paying transaction fees and powering smart contracts on Cronos.
- Staking to help secure the network and take part in governance votes.
- Use inside Crypto.com products, where benefits depend on region and account terms.
- Collateral and trading in decentralized finance apps and NFT projects on the chain. Applications on Cronos can also be built with standard Ethereum developer tools, which lowers the cost of porting.
The Crypto.com group runs a related chain called Crypto.org Chain, which launched its mainnet in March 2021.
CRO supply and token design
CRO has a maximum supply of 100 billion tokens. In 2021 about 70 billion CRO were burned, which cut the supply to 30 billion. In March 2025 validators approved a governance proposal to reissue those 70 billion tokens, returning the maximum supply to 100 billion. The new tokens were directed to a strategic reserve wallet under a vesting schedule. Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page.
Official information is on cronos.org.
What to check before using CRO
- CRO is closely linked to Crypto.com. The reissue vote shows that supply decisions can turn on a small number of large validators.
- Supply policy has changed before. A burn in 2021 and a reissue in 2025 mean past scarcity claims should be checked against current rules.
- The token exists in several forms, including ERC-20 on Ethereum and native on Cronos. Bridged versions carry bridge risk.
- Exchange benefits tied to CRO can change, and they depend on your country and account status.
- Smart contract and DeFi apps on Cronos carry the usual risks of exploits and thin liquidity.

Cronos market analysis
With a market capitalisation of $2.54 billion, Cronos (CRO) is classed as a mid-cap asset and ranks #41 of 1,341 cryptocurrencies with a reported market cap on CryptoWave, larger than about 96.9% of them. It accounts for roughly 0.10% of the combined tracked market value. Mid-cap assets sit between the established majors and the speculative long tail, so both growth and drawdowns can be sharp.
Over the last 24 hours roughly $3.98 million of CRO changed hands, equal to 0.16% of its market cap, which puts its trading volume ahead of about 78.4% of tracked assets. Trading activity is very low relative to market cap, which usually points to poor liquidity. Its turnover ratio is higher than that of about 10% of tracked assets.
Price action: CRO moved −2.46% in 24 hours and −5.84% over 7 days. It underperformed Bitcoin by 0.28 percentage points over 24 hours and by 1.98 points over 7 days. Against the median tracked coin (behind by 0.22 points on the day and ahead by 0.37 points on the week), it has been a relative strength in recent sessions.
To overtake Ripple USD (RLUSD) just above it, Cronos would need to grow its market cap by about 0.7%; it is 6.3% larger than Ondo US Dollar Yield (USDY) just below. Its market cap is 0.17% of Bitcoin's.
