ⓘ Circulating · Total supply · Max supply
Circulating supply: coins currently available to trade, as reported by the data provider.
Total supply: coins created so far, minus any burned. It includes locked or not-yet-released coins.
Max supply: the hard cap on coins that can ever exist. Shown as “No max supply” when the protocol sets no cap.
CryptoWave Health score
Five measurable signals. Each ring segment’s length is its weight; how full it is shows the score.
Volume is 5.22% of market cap. Trades easily.
$539.18M market cap, rank #99. Bigger is harder to push around.
42% of the maximum supply circulates. Big unlocks could dilute holders.
96.9% below its all-time high of $19.92.
Largest recent swing: 4.20% a day. Moderate.
Describes market structure today. Not a price forecast and not investment advice.
How this score is calculated
A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:
- Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
- Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
- Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
- Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
- Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).
Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.
Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

What is Aptos (APT)?
Aptos is a Layer 1 blockchain built around the Move smart contract language and designed for high throughput. Its mainnet launched on 12 October 2022, with an initial supply of 1 billion APT. The network is developed in the open by Aptos Labs and supported by the Aptos Foundation, and the code is published on GitHub.
Aptos is a proof-of-stake network. Validators stake APT to take part in consensus, and delegators can stake through them to earn rewards. Move treats digital assets as resources that cannot be copied or lost by accident, an approach intended to make contracts easier to reason about and secure.
What APT is used for
APT is the native asset of the chain. It is the token that powers everyday activity on Aptos.
- Paying gas fees for transactions and smart contract calls.
- Staking to help secure the network and earn staking rewards.
- Voting on governance proposals.
- Serving as a base asset in Aptos DeFi, payments and gaming applications.
APT supply and token design
The 1 billion APT at genesis were divided between the community (51.02%), core contributors (19.00%), the Aptos Foundation (16.50%) and investors (13.48%). Investor and core contributor tokens were placed under a four-year lock-up. Staking rewards have added to supply since launch.
In 2026 the Aptos community moved to a performance-driven token model that includes a hard cap of 2.1 billion APT. Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page. Always check the token path before interacting with an app: the native coin is 0x1::aptos_coin::AptosCoin.
Official information is on aptosfoundation.org.
Aptos is developed in the open, and its block explorers and GitHub repositories let anyone inspect network activity and code. Because tokens at genesis were split across several groups, it is useful to follow how locked allocations are released and how governance proposals change staking and fee rules over time.
What to check before using APT
- Unlock schedules: investor and contributor allocations vest over time, and releases can influence supply and market behaviour.
- Changing tokenomics: staking rewards, fees and the supply cap have been revised through governance, so older articles may describe outdated rules.
- Competition: Aptos competes with many other fast Layer 1 networks, and developer and user adoption is not guaranteed.
- Staking risk: staked APT is locked for a period, and validator performance affects rewards.
- Wallet and app safety: use official wallets and verify the sites you connect to.

Aptos market analysis
With a market capitalisation of $539.18 million, Aptos (APT) is classed as a small-cap asset and ranks #99 of 402 cryptocurrencies with a reported market cap on CryptoWave, larger than about 75.4% of them. It accounts for roughly 0.02% of the combined tracked market value. Small-cap assets can move quickly on news or exchange listings, and liquidity can thin out fast in sell-offs.
Over the last 24 hours roughly $28.13 million of APT changed hands, equal to 5.22% of its market cap, which puts its trading volume ahead of about 80.8% of tracked assets. That is a moderate, fairly typical level of turnover. Its turnover ratio is higher than that of about 72% of tracked assets.
Price action: APT moved −2.70% in 24 hours and −10.91% over 7 days. It underperformed Bitcoin by 1.02 percentage points over 24 hours and by 6.66 points over 7 days. Against the median tracked coin (behind by 1.14 points on the day and behind by 6.02 points on the week), it has been a relative laggard in recent sessions.
To overtake Usual USD (USD0) just above it, Aptos would need to grow its market cap by about 0.3%; it is 2.7% larger than Flare (FLR) just below. Its market cap is 0.03% of Bitcoin's.
