How this score is calculated
A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:
- Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
- Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
- Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
- Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
- Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).
Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.
Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

What is Velo (VELO)?
Velo is a payments and settlement network developed by Velo Labs Technology Ltd, a company registered in the British Virgin Islands. It aims to connect traditional finance and Web3 on a compliant rail, so businesses, banks and individuals can move value across borders in real time. VELO is the network's utility token. It was launched in September 2020 and is used for settlement, staking and governance across the network.
The name is shared by several tokens, including Velodrome's VELO. This page covers Velo from velo.org, which is issued on the Stellar network and on BNB Smart Chain.
What VELO is used for
Velo describes three main areas: a settlement network for cross-border treasury needs, tokenisation of real-world assets, and payment services for emerging markets. Its products include the following.
- Orbit Plus: a consumer app that turns stablecoins into spendable local currency and offers a crypto debit card.
- Universe: a hybrid decentralised exchange for trading global assets.
- Nova Chain: an EVM-compatible network that bridges traditional finance and crypto.
- Warp: a cross-chain bridge for moving assets between networks.
- Velo Finance: a self-custodial platform for trading and managing digital assets.
VELO supply and token design
The official site lists a total supply of 24 billion VELO. The token exists on two networks, and each version has its own address:
- Stellar: issuer GDM4RQUQQUVSKQA7S6EM7XBZP3FCGH4Q7CL6TABQ7B2BEJ5ERARM2M5M
- BNB Smart Chain: 0xf486AD071f3bEE968384D2E39e2D8aF0fCf6fd46
Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page. The issuer address matters on Stellar because anyone can create an asset with the code VELO, and only the official issuer is the real token.
Official information is on velo.org.
What to check before using VELO
- Use only the official Stellar issuer and BNB Smart Chain contract above. Look-alike assets are common.
- VELO is a utility token whose value depends on adoption of Velo's products, which in turn depends on licensing and partner relationships.
- The company is registered offshore, and regulated payment services vary by country, so check what is available where you live.
- Cross-border payments and RWA settlement are crowded markets with strong competitors.
- Total supply is stated by the project, but token unlocks, treasury holdings and distribution should be reviewed through the on-chain addresses rather than assumed from marketing pages.
- Bridging between Stellar, BNB Smart Chain and Nova Chain adds smart contract and bridge risk.

Velo market analysis
With a market capitalisation of $56.77 million, Velo (VELO) is classed as a micro-cap asset and ranks #321 of 406 cryptocurrencies with a reported market cap on CryptoWave, larger than about 20.9% of them. It accounts for roughly under 0.01% of the combined tracked market value. Micro-cap assets are thinly traded in most cases: a modest order can move the price and spreads are often wide.
Over the last 24 hours roughly $876.6 thousand of VELO changed hands, equal to 1.54% of its market cap, which puts its trading volume ahead of about 36.5% of tracked assets. That is a quiet level of turnover, so large orders may meet limited depth. Its turnover ratio is higher than that of about 43% of tracked assets.
Price action: VELO moved −3.43% in 24 hours and −13.09% over 7 days. It underperformed Bitcoin by 1.25 percentage points over 24 hours and by 9.50 points over 7 days. Against the median tracked coin (behind by 1.44 points on the day and behind by 8.59 points on the week), it has been a relative laggard in recent sessions.
To overtake Spiko Amundi Overnight Swap Fund (GBP) (GBPSAFO) just above it, Velo would need to grow its market cap by about 2.3%; it is 0.1% larger than Lido EarnUSD (EARNUSD) just below. Its market cap is under 0.01% of Bitcoin's.
