Circulating supply: coins currently available to trade, as reported by the data provider.

Total supply: coins created so far, minus any burned. It includes locked or not-yet-released coins.

Max supply: the hard cap on coins that can ever exist. Shown as “No max supply” when the protocol sets no cap.

How this score is calculated

A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:

  • Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
  • Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
  • Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
  • Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
  • Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).

Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.

Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

About Threshold Network

What is Threshold Network (T)?

Threshold Network is a decentralized protocol for threshold cryptography, a method in which a secret key is split among many nodes so that no single operator can use or leak it. T is its governance and staking token. The network was formed by the merger of Keep Network and NuCypher, which was completed on 1 January 2022 and introduced the T token. It is often described as the first merger of two decentralized protocols.

What T is used for

Threshold applies the idea of distributing trust: instead of one custodian holding a key, many independent operators each hold a share, and a minimum number of them must cooperate to act.

The network's best-known product is tBTC, a Bitcoin-backed token for DeFi that relies on a group of node operators rather than a single custodian. Threshold also supports encryption services built on NuCypher's earlier work. T plays several roles:

  • Staking T lets node operators and delegators help run the network and earn rewards.
  • T holders vote in the Threshold DAO, which controls the treasury and protocol changes.
  • Staked T gives node operators a financial stake in running the network correctly.

T supply and token design

T launched with an initial supply of 10 billion tokens. About 90% went to holders of the earlier NU and KEEP tokens, who converted at fixed ratios through conversion contracts, and the remaining share went to the Threshold DAO treasury. Supply is not described as fixed beyond the initial issuance, so check the project's governance pages for the latest rules. Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page.

T was created on Ethereum, and versions also exist on other networks, including Base, Optimism and Solana. The Ethereum token contract is 0xcdf7028ceab81fa0c6971208e83fa7872994bee5. A single-letter ticker is easy to confuse with other assets, so confirm the contract before trading.

Official information is on threshold.network.

What to check before using T

  • The ticker T is shared with unrelated assets. Verify the name and contract address on the exchange or explorer you use.
  • Staking ties tokens to node operation, so check the lock-up terms and the consequences of operator failure before staking.
  • Usage depends largely on tBTC adoption, which competes with other wrapped and bridged Bitcoin products.
  • Bridged versions on other networks carry the additional risk of the bridge.
  • The DAO can change parameters through votes, so rules may differ from earlier descriptions.

Threshold Network market analysis

With a market capitalisation of $49.66 million, Threshold Network (T) is classed as a micro-cap asset and ranks #338 of 402 cryptocurrencies with a reported market cap on CryptoWave, larger than about 15.9% of them. It accounts for roughly under 0.01% of the combined tracked market value. Micro-cap assets are thinly traded in most cases: a modest order can move the price and spreads are often wide.

Over the last 24 hours roughly $4.66 million of T changed hands, equal to 9.38% of its market cap, which puts its trading volume ahead of about 51.5% of tracked assets. That is an active level of turnover for an asset of this size. Its turnover ratio is higher than that of about 84% of tracked assets.

Price action: T moved −5.37% in 24 hours and −6.86% over 7 days. It underperformed Bitcoin by 3.31 percentage points over 24 hours and by 3.00 points over 7 days. Against the median tracked coin (behind by 3.40 points on the day and behind by 2.21 points on the week), it has been a relative laggard in recent sessions.

To overtake Rnt (RNT) just above it, Threshold Network would need to grow its market cap by about 1.5%; it is 0.9% larger than NVIDIA (bStocks Tokenized Stock) (NVDAB) just below. Its market cap is under 0.01% of Bitcoin's.
