ⓘ Circulating · Total supply · Max supply
Circulating supply: coins currently available to trade, as reported by the data provider.
Total supply: coins created so far, minus any burned. It includes locked or not-yet-released coins.
Max supply: the hard cap on coins that can ever exist. Shown as “No max supply” when the protocol sets no cap.
CryptoWave Health score
Five measurable signals. Each ring segment’s length is its weight; how full it is shows the score.
Volume is 1.68% of market cap. Normal turnover for its size.
$102.61M market cap, rank #260. Bigger is harder to push around.
100% of the total supply circulates. Little dilution ahead.
99.4% below its all-time high of $545.64.
Largest recent swing: 1.33% a day. Calm.
Describes market structure today. Not a price forecast and not investment advice.
How this score is calculated
A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:
- Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
- Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
- Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
- Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
- Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).
Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.
Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

What is MultiversX (EGLD)?
MultiversX is a layer 1 blockchain that uses sharding to process transactions in parallel. It was launched as Elrond in 2020 and was rebranded to MultiversX in 2022. Its main token is EGLD, which replaced the earlier ERD token when mainnet launched.
The network uses Secure Proof of Stake, in which validators are chosen according to stake and take part in consensus. The project was founded by Beniamin Mincu and the Elrond team. Splitting the chain into shards is meant to let throughput grow as more validators join, instead of every node processing every transaction.
What EGLD is used for
EGLD pays transaction fees, secures the network through staking, and serves as the base asset across applications on MultiversX. Wallets, decentralized exchanges, lending apps, NFT marketplaces and payment tools in the ecosystem all settle in EGLD or use it as a reference asset. Developers write smart contracts that run in a WebAssembly virtual machine.
- Paying fees for transfers and smart contracts.
- Staking with validators to secure the chain.
- Collateral and trading pair in the ecosystem's apps.
EGLD supply and token design
The economics documentation describes a theoretical maximum supply of 31,415,926 EGLD. About 20 million were minted at bootstrapping, and the remainder is released gradually over ten years. Transaction fees offset new issuance, so net inflation depends on network usage. Stakers who delegate to validators earn a share of issuance, which funds network security but also means that holders who do not stake are diluted over time.
Token economics can be adjusted by governance, so check the current documentation for the rules in force. Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page.
Official information is on multiversx.com.
What to check before using EGLD
- Issuance rules and staking rewards can be changed through governance, which affects holders.
- A sharded chain with a large validator set depends on active builders and users. Check ecosystem activity.
- Staking has unbonding periods, so staked tokens may not be instantly available.
- Several tokens and apps use similar names to MultiversX. Verify addresses on the official site and explorer.
- Layer 1 platforms compete intensely, and network upgrades carry execution risk. Name changes mean older material may still refer to Elrond or ERD, so confirm you are reading current information.

MultiversX market analysis
With a market capitalisation of $102.61 million, MultiversX (EGLD) is classed as a small-cap asset and ranks #260 of 406 cryptocurrencies with a reported market cap on CryptoWave, larger than about 36.0% of them. It accounts for roughly under 0.01% of the combined tracked market value. Small-cap assets can move quickly on news or exchange listings, and liquidity can thin out fast in sell-offs.
Over the last 24 hours roughly $1.73 million of EGLD changed hands, equal to 1.68% of its market cap, which puts its trading volume ahead of about 40.4% of tracked assets. That is a quiet level of turnover, so large orders may meet limited depth. Its turnover ratio is higher than that of about 44% of tracked assets.
Price action: EGLD moved −1.32% in 24 hours and +3.46% over 7 days. It outperformed Bitcoin by 0.86 percentage points over 24 hours and by 7.05 points over 7 days. Against the median tracked coin (ahead by 0.68 points on the day and ahead by 7.96 points on the week), it has been a relative strength in recent sessions.
To overtake Securitize Tokenized AAA CLO Fund (STAC) just above it, MultiversX would need to grow its market cap by about 2.1%; it is 1.7% larger than Synthetix (SNX) just below. Its market cap is under 0.01% of Bitcoin's.
