Circulating supply: coins currently available to trade, as reported by the data provider.

Total supply: coins created so far, minus any burned. It includes locked or not-yet-released coins.

Max supply: the hard cap on coins that can ever exist. Shown as “No max supply” when the protocol sets no cap.

How this score is calculated

A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:

  • Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
  • Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
  • Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
  • Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
  • Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).

Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.

Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

About Monad

What is Monad (MON)?

Monad is a high-performance layer 1 blockchain that is compatible with Ethereum. It runs EVM bytecode and supports the Ethereum RPC interface, so existing Ethereum applications, wallets and block explorers generally work without code changes. The mainnet launched on 24 November 2025. It is developed by Category Labs, formerly Monad Labs, and the Monad Foundation supports the ecosystem. MON is the network's native token.

How Monad works

Monad aims for much higher throughput than Ethereum while keeping the same developer tools. It does this with parallel execution and pipelining, and it is secured by a decentralized proof-of-stake validator set running MonadBFT consensus. The project's documentation cites a target of 10,000 transactions per second.

  • Gas: MON pays transaction fees.
  • Staking: MON is staked with validators to secure the network, and delegators share in block rewards.
  • Ecosystem: Developers can deploy Solidity contracts and use familiar Ethereum tooling.

MON supply and token design

The initial supply at mainnet was 100 billion MON. Monad's tokenomics post gives approximate allocations: about 38.5% for ecosystem development, 27% for the team, 19.7% for investors, 7.5% for the public sale, 3.3% for an airdrop and 3.95% for the Category Labs treasury. The public sale ran through Coinbase's token sales platform at $0.025 per token.

Locked tokens have a minimum one-year lock-up. Investor and treasury tokens have a one-year cliff followed by monthly unlocks, and team tokens unlock after one year and then vest over three years. All allocations are scheduled to be fully unlocked by the fourth quarter of 2029. Locked tokens cannot be staked.

Each block mints a 25 MON reward shared with the producing validator's stakers, which works out to roughly 2% of the initial supply per year. The base component of each transaction fee is burned, which offsets part of this issuance. Because new tokens are issued continuously, MON has no fixed cap.

Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page.

Official information is on monad.xyz.

What to check before using MON

  • Future unlocks: A large share of supply is locked and scheduled to unlock through 2029, which will add to the tradable supply over time.
  • Concentrated allocations: Team, investors and treasury hold a large part of supply.
  • Young network: The chain launched in late 2025, so its security record and validator decentralization are still short.
  • Competition: Many fast EVM-compatible chains compete for the same developers and liquidity.
  • Smart contract risk: Apps on any new chain carry bug and exploit risk, so use audited protocols.

Monad market analysis

With a market capitalisation of $203.10 million, Monad (MON) is classed as a small-cap asset and ranks #174 of 1,340 cryptocurrencies with a reported market cap on CryptoWave, larger than about 87.0% of them. It accounts for roughly under 0.01% of the combined tracked market value. Small-cap assets can move quickly on news or exchange listings, and liquidity can thin out fast in sell-offs.

Over the last 24 hours roughly $12.55 million of MON changed hands, equal to 6.18% of its market cap, which puts its trading volume ahead of about 89.4% of tracked assets. That is a moderate, fairly typical level of turnover. Its turnover ratio is higher than that of about 58% of tracked assets.

Price action: MON moved −10.25% in 24 hours and −18.88% over 7 days. It underperformed Bitcoin by 8.04 percentage points over 24 hours and by 14.75 points over 7 days. Against the median tracked coin (behind by 7.98 points on the day and behind by 12.67 points on the week), it has been a relative laggard in recent sessions.

To overtake Collector Crypt (CARDS) just above it, Monad would need to grow its market cap by about 1.4%; it is 0.6% larger than Ethereum Name Service (ENS) just below. Its market cap is 0.01% of Bitcoin's.
