How this score is calculated
A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:
- Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
- Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
- Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
- Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
- Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).
Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.
Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

What is JPY Coin (JPYC)?
JPYC is a yen-denominated stablecoin issued by JPYC Inc., a Tokyo-based company. It is designed to be worth one Japanese yen and is redeemable 1:1 for yen. JPYC Inc. registered as a funds transfer service provider on 18 August 2025, and formal issuance began on 27 October 2025. JPYC is described as the first yen stablecoin issued as an electronic payment instrument under Japan's Payment Services Act, as amended in 2023.
How JPYC works
Minting and redemption go through JPYC EX, the issuer's platform. The model is non-custodial, so JPYC Inc. does not hold users' tokens and wallets are built by third parties. Everyday use therefore depends on wallets and services that support the chain you choose.
- Backing: the issuer says bank deposits and Japanese government bonds fully back the tokens outstanding. The bond share is planned to increase over time.
- Minting: direct minting requires identity verification with a My Number card. Non-residents generally cannot mint directly, but they can receive JPYC by on-chain transfer.
- Limits and fees: there is a minimum amount of 3,000 yen per mint or redemption, and daily limits apply. JPYC EX charges no issuance or redemption fee, though users pay their own bank transfer fees and network gas.
JPYC supply and token design
JPYC has no fixed cap. Supply expands when users mint against yen and shrinks when they redeem. At launch the token was available on Ethereum, Polygon and Avalanche, and Kaia was added in May 2026. The contract address is the same on these networks: 0xe7c3d8c9a439fede00d2600032d5db0be71c3c29. Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page.
Official information is on jpyc.co.jp.
What to check before using JPYC
- Redemption for yen runs through the issuer's platform and requires identity verification, so convenience depends on JPYC Inc. and its banking partners.
- Reserves are held partly in Japanese government bonds, so the backing is not all cash. Check the issuer's latest reserve disclosures.
- Non-residents generally cannot mint or redeem directly, and may have to buy on secondary markets where the price can drift from one yen.
- A yen stablecoin carries yen exchange-rate risk for anyone who measures value in another currency.
- JPYC balances on different networks are separate, so choose the chain your wallet or service supports and keep a small amount of that chain's gas token for fees.
- Do not confuse JPYC with other yen tokens from different issuers. Verify the contract address and issuer before transacting.

JPY Coin market analysis
With a market capitalisation of $82.29 million, JPY Coin (JPYC) is classed as a micro-cap asset and ranks #285 of 402 cryptocurrencies with a reported market cap on CryptoWave, larger than about 29.1% of them. It accounts for roughly under 0.01% of the combined tracked market value. Micro-cap assets are thinly traded in most cases: a modest order can move the price and spreads are often wide.
Over the last 24 hours roughly $251.3 thousand of JPYC changed hands, equal to 0.31% of its market cap, which puts its trading volume ahead of about 26.4% of tracked assets. That is a quiet level of turnover, so large orders may meet limited depth. Its turnover ratio is higher than that of about 26% of tracked assets.
Price action: JPYC moved +0.06% in 24 hours and +0.14% over 7 days. It outperformed Bitcoin by 2.12 percentage points over 24 hours and by 4.00 points over 7 days. Against the median tracked coin (ahead by 2.04 points on the day and ahead by 4.79 points on the week), it has been a relative strength in recent sessions.
To overtake STONK (STONK) just above it, JPY Coin would need to grow its market cap by about 0.1%; it is 1.4% larger than Stronghold (SHX) just below. Its market cap is under 0.01% of Bitcoin's.
