Circulating supply: coins currently available to trade, as reported by the data provider.

Total supply: coins created so far, minus any burned. It includes locked or not-yet-released coins.

Max supply: the hard cap on coins that can ever exist. Shown as “No max supply” when the protocol sets no cap.

How this score is calculated

A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:

  • Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
  • Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
  • Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
  • Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
  • Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).

Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.

Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

About Canton

What is Canton (CC)?

Canton Network describes itself as a privacy-enabled open blockchain network that aims to give financial markets the privacy and controls they need alongside the interoperability of a public network. Participants use smart contracts to exchange data and value while keeping details visible only to the parties involved. Canton Coin (CC) is the native token of the network's public infrastructure.

What CC is used for

CC is the economic engine of the Global Synchronizer, the decentralized backbone that connects applications on the Canton Network.

  • Paying for traffic: users and validators burn CC to buy synchronizer traffic. Fees are set in US dollars but paid in CC at the prevailing rate.
  • Rewards: Super Validators that run the synchronizer, featured application providers and validators earn newly minted CC for their infrastructure, services and activity.
  • Governance: the Canton Foundation supports neutral governance for the Global Synchronizer.

CC supply and token design

CC uses a burn-mint model, so supply is dynamic and has no fixed cap. Burning CC for traffic permanently removes it, while rewards add new coins. The design aims for burned CC to roughly offset minted CC over time, with minting limited by a predetermined curve. Annual issuance is capped by a network parameter and spread across rounds that last ten minutes by default.

Each round's issuance is divided between validators, application providers and Super Validators. A development fund receives 5% of each round's issuance by default. Each Super Validator publishes a CC conversion rate, and the rate used is the median, which limits the influence of any single operator. Liveness rewards for validators were phased out to zero from 30 April 2026, so validators now earn only through activity tied to CC they burn.

Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page.

Official information is on canton.network.

What to check before using CC

  • Dynamic supply: there is no fixed cap, so supply depends on reward rules that governance can change through proposals.
  • Reward concentration: minting rewards flow to a limited set of Super Validators and large application providers, which affects who benefits and how decentralized the network is.
  • Private versus public: much of Canton's institutional activity happens on private synchronizers that may not use CC at all.
  • Complex design: burn-mint rules, USD-denominated fees and rate setting change over time. Read current documentation.
  • Price volatility: CC is a newer asset and can move sharply.

Canton market analysis

With a market capitalisation of $3.75 billion, Canton (CC) is classed as a mid-cap asset and ranks #29 of 1,342 cryptocurrencies with a reported market cap on CryptoWave, larger than about 97.8% of them. It accounts for roughly 0.14% of the combined tracked market value. Mid-cap assets sit between the established majors and the speculative long tail, so both growth and drawdowns can be sharp.

Over the last 24 hours roughly $10.10 million of CC changed hands, equal to 0.27% of its market cap, which puts its trading volume ahead of about 87.7% of tracked assets. Trading activity is very low relative to market cap, which usually points to poor liquidity. Its turnover ratio is higher than that of about 13% of tracked assets.

Price action: CC moved −3.13% in 24 hours and −5.66% over 7 days. It underperformed Bitcoin by 1.43 percentage points over 24 hours and by 1.81 points over 7 days. Against the median tracked coin (behind by 1.01 points on the day and ahead by 0.47 points on the week), it has been a relative laggard in recent sessions.

To overtake USD1 (USD1) just above it, Canton would need to grow its market cap by about 3.1%; it is 0.8% larger than Avalanche (AVAX) just below. Its market cap is 0.24% of Bitcoin's.
