Circulating supply: coins currently available to trade, as reported by the data provider.

Total supply: coins created so far, minus any burned. It includes locked or not-yet-released coins.

Max supply: the hard cap on coins that can ever exist. Shown as “No max supply” when the protocol sets no cap.

How this score is calculated

A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:

  • Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
  • Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
  • Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
  • Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
  • Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).

Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.

Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

About ZetaChain

What is ZetaChain (ZETA)?

ZetaChain is a Layer 1 blockchain built for connecting other blockchains and applications, so smart contracts can work across networks without wrapping or locking assets in the usual way. Its team, ZetaLabs, was founded in 2021, testnet operations began in 2022 and the mainnet launched in early 2024. The network is proof-of-stake, built on the Cosmos SDK and CometBFT, and it includes a universal EVM environment for omnichain contracts.

What ZETA is used for

ZETA is the native token. It pays gas fees, rewards validators and node operators, and supports cross-chain transactions. It also gives holders governance voting rights and incentivizes liquidity providers in the network's core pools.

  • Gas: pays for transactions on ZetaChain.
  • Staking: holders delegate ZETA to validators to help secure the network and earn rewards.
  • Governance: voting on protocol upgrades and proposals.
  • Liquidity incentives: rewards for providers in the core crypto pools.

ZetaChain extends smart-contract-like functionality to chains that lack it, with Bitcoin and Dogecoin cited as examples, alongside EVM networks such as Ethereum and BNB Chain.

ZETA supply and token design

A total of 2.1 billion ZETA has been minted. Supply stays fixed for the first four years after mainnet launch. After that, a controlled inflation rate of about 2.5% per year is planned, with the exact amount depending on circulating supply at the time. ZETA also exists as ERC-20 and BEP-20 tokens, so make sure you use the right network. Ethereum contract: 0xf091867ec603a6628ed83d274e835539d82e9cc8.

Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page.

For developers, the appeal is writing one contract that reaches several networks, including chains that normally cannot run contracts. For users, that shows up as applications that accept assets from more than one chain. Both rely on the connected networks, relayers and validators behaving as designed, which is why the risk list below is worth reading.

Official information is on zetachain.com.

What to check before using ZETA

  • Cross-chain risk: connecting many networks widens the attack surface, and a flaw in any connected chain or relayer can affect users.
  • Future inflation: the planned 2.5% annual issuance after the fixed-supply period will dilute holders who do not stake.
  • Token versions: ZETA on Ethereum and BNB Chain is separate from the native token, so use the correct network when moving funds.
  • Staking terms: delegated ZETA has unbonding periods and exposure to validator performance.
  • Adoption: value depends on developers and users building omnichain applications on the network.
