How this score is calculated

A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:

  • Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
  • Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
  • Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
  • Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
  • Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).

Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.

Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

About Ronin

What is Ronin (RON)?

Ronin is a blockchain built for games and consumer applications, developed by Sky Mavis, the studio behind Axie Infinity. It launched in 2021 as an EVM-compatible sidechain so that Axie players could trade and move in-game assets with low fees and fast confirmations, away from Ethereum's mainnet costs. RON is the network's native token.

In May 2026 Ronin hard-forked from an independent sidechain into an Ethereum layer-2 network built on the OP Stack. EigenDA provides off-chain data availability, and Ethereum provides settlement and finality.

What RON is used for

RON is the gas token on Ronin, and the network's FAQ states that only RON is used for fees, so users do not need ETH to transact. The official site lists these roles:

  • Paying gas fees for transfers, trades and contract calls.
  • Earning rewards through gameplay and ecosystem participation.
  • Staking with validators, and governance as the network opens it to token holders.
  • Trading NFTs and in-game items on the Ronin marketplace.

Games and apps on Ronin include Axie Infinity and Pixels. The ecosystem also offers a wallet, a marketplace, a launchpad and a bridge for moving assets from other chains.

RON supply and token design

RON has a maximum supply of 1 billion. The original litepaper split it between Sky Mavis, community initiatives, staking rewards and an ecosystem fund, and the token launched through a pool on the Katana decentralized exchange with no private sale. Issuance was scheduled to reach the cap over 108 months from the start of emissions.

The layer-2 migration changed the economics. RON inflation was reported to fall from above 20% to below 1%, and a Proof of Distribution model now directs staking rewards towards developers who build on the network instead of passive validation. The network moved from proof of authority to delegated proof of stake in April 2023. Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page.

Official information is on roninchain.com.

What to check before using RON

  • Ronin's bridge was the target of a major attack in March 2022. Check how the current bridge and validator setup are secured before moving large amounts.
  • Demand for RON depends heavily on a small number of games, so slumps in player activity can affect the network.
  • The move to a layer-2 changed validator roles and token emissions. Older articles describing the sidechain design may be out of date.
  • Gaming tokens and in-game NFTs can be illiquid, and rewards earned in games can lose value quickly.
  • Sky Mavis still plays a large role in the ecosystem, which is a concentration risk.

Ronin project profile

Ronin (RON) is marked as inactive in public project registries. Development or trading may have stopped, so any price shown on this page can be stale or illiquid. Check that the asset can still be traded or withdrawn before relying on it.

Ronin market analysis

With a market capitalisation of $37.93 million, Ronin (RON) is classed as a micro-cap asset and ranks #362 of 402 cryptocurrencies with a reported market cap on CryptoWave, larger than about 10.0% of them. It accounts for roughly under 0.01% of the combined tracked market value. Micro-cap assets are thinly traded in most cases: a modest order can move the price and spreads are often wide.

Over the last 24 hours roughly $534.9 thousand of RON changed hands, equal to 1.41% of its market cap, which puts its trading volume ahead of about 30.6% of tracked assets. That is a quiet level of turnover, so large orders may meet limited depth. Its turnover ratio is higher than that of about 41% of tracked assets.

Price action: RON moved −2.30% in 24 hours and −8.64% over 7 days. It underperformed Bitcoin by 0.24 percentage points over 24 hours and by 4.78 points over 7 days. Against the median tracked coin (behind by 0.32 points on the day and behind by 3.99 points on the week), it has been a relative laggard in recent sessions.

To overtake JupUSD (JUPUSD) just above it, Ronin would need to grow its market cap by about 2.7%; it is 7.1% larger than Securitize (SECZ) just below. Its market cap is under 0.01% of Bitcoin's.
