How this score is calculated

A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:

  • Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
  • Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
  • Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
  • Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
  • Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).

Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.

Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

About Onyxcoin

What is Onyxcoin (XCN)?

Onyxcoin (XCN) is the token of Onyx, a network built for payments and financial applications. It began as the Chain Token of Chain, a blockchain infrastructure company, and was renamed when the Chain Protocol became Onyx Protocol and the Chain DAO became Onyx DAO. The XCN ticker stayed the same.

Onyx describes itself as a sovereign Layer 1 blockchain built for banks and financial institutions. Its mainnet launched on 27 March 2026. The network is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine, so Ethereum-style applications and tools can run on it, and developers connect through chain ID 327.

What XCN is used for

XCN is the network's native utility, gas and governance token.

  • Paying transaction fees on the Onyx network.
  • Voting through Onyx DAO, which runs on Ethereum.
  • Staking through Onyx liquid staking, which issues a liquid receipt token.
  • Providing liquidity and trading on Onyx markets.

Onyx offers a bridge for moving XCN, ETH and USDC between Ethereum and the Onyx network.

XCN supply and token design

XCN has a maximum supply of 68,892,071,757 tokens. Onyx also mentions a fee burn tied to XCN gas, which can reduce supply over time. Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page.

XCN exists as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum at contract address 0xa2cd3d43c775978a96bdbf12d733d5a1ed94fb18, and as bridged versions on Base and BNB Smart Chain. Use the official bridge and confirm addresses before moving funds, since several versions of the token circulate.

Official information is on onyx.org.

Onyx also lets users trade XCN against USDC on its own markets and place LP tokens in farms that pay XCN rewards. These features run on the Onyx network rather than on Ethereum, so they use XCN for gas. The network states block times of about one second, which suits payment-style use.

What to check before using XCN

  • The project has changed names and structure, and older material refers to Chain, Chain Protocol or Chain Token. Make sure you are reading current information.
  • The new Layer 1 network is young, so its validators, bridge and applications have a shorter track record than long-running chains.
  • Bridging introduces smart contract and operational risk. Test with a small amount first.
  • Staking rewards are variable and depend on network activity and token emissions.
  • Governance power follows token holdings, so large holders can have outsized influence.

Onyxcoin market analysis

With a market capitalisation of $139.73 million, Onyxcoin (XCN) is classed as a small-cap asset and ranks #229 of 1,339 cryptocurrencies with a reported market cap on CryptoWave, larger than about 82.9% of them. It accounts for roughly under 0.01% of the combined tracked market value. Small-cap assets can move quickly on news or exchange listings, and liquidity can thin out fast in sell-offs.

Over the last 24 hours roughly $5.35 million of XCN changed hands, equal to 3.83% of its market cap, which puts its trading volume ahead of about 82.5% of tracked assets. That is a moderate, fairly typical level of turnover. Its turnover ratio is higher than that of about 48% of tracked assets.

Price action: XCN moved −3.25% in 24 hours and −10.10% over 7 days. It underperformed Bitcoin by 1.32 percentage points over 24 hours and by 6.49 points over 7 days. Against the median tracked coin (behind by 1.09 points on the day and behind by 4.01 points on the week), it has been a relative laggard in recent sessions.

To overtake Decentraland (MANA) just above it, Onyxcoin would need to grow its market cap by about 0.3%; it is 1.8% larger than Pons (PONS) just below. Its market cap is under 0.01% of Bitcoin's.
