Circulating supply: coins currently available to trade, as reported by the data provider.

Total supply: coins created so far, minus any burned. It includes locked or not-yet-released coins.

Max supply: the hard cap on coins that can ever exist. Shown as “No max supply” when the protocol sets no cap.

How this score is calculated

A weighted average of five signals computed from the market data on this page. Each signal is scored from 0 to 100:

  • Liquidity (25%): 24-hour trading volume divided by market cap.
  • Market depth (25%): market cap, on a logarithmic scale from $10 million to $1 trillion.
  • Supply (15%): circulating supply divided by max supply, or by total supply when there is no cap. More supply already in circulation scores higher.
  • Distance from peak (15%): the current price compared with the all-time high.
  • Stability (20%): the largest recent price swing among the 1-hour move (×3), the 24-hour move and the 7-day move (÷2.6).

Bands: 75 and above strong, 55–74 fair, 35–54 weak, below 35 fragile.

Limits: the score describes current market structure only. It is not a price forecast, an audit or investment advice, and it does not consider the team, code or token unlocks. A missing input counts as a neutral 50.

About Babylon

What is Babylon (BABY)?

Babylon is a Bitcoin staking protocol and the blockchain network built around it. Its Genesis mainnet, a Layer 1 secured in part by Bitcoin staking, launched on 10 April 2025 as the second stage of a phased rollout. BABY is the native token of that network. The project is developed by Babylon Labs, and its documentation also describes a Bitcoin vault product that lets users borrow against native BTC without bridges or wrapped custody.

How Babylon works

Bitcoin holders can lock BTC on the Bitcoin network through a staking transaction and use it to help secure Babylon Genesis and other proof-of-stake systems, without moving the coins to another chain. Babylon Genesis uses CometBFT consensus, and its documentation also lists finality providers, the operators that sign off on blocks and are backed by staked BTC.

BABY plays several roles on the network:

  • Staking: holders delegate BABY to validators to help secure the chain and earn rewards.
  • Rewards: staking rewards are shared equally between BTC stakers and BABY stakers.
  • Network security: BABY staking sits alongside BTC staking as part of how Babylon Genesis is secured.

BABY supply and token design

The initial BABY supply at Genesis was 10 billion tokens, with 6% reserved for early adopters. Staking rewards mean new tokens are issued over time, so total supply can grow above the original 10 billion. Live circulating supply is shown in the market data on this page.

Because BABY runs on its own chain, make sure that any exchange or wallet you use supports the native Babylon network or lists an official bridged version. Documentation and staking tools are linked from the project site.

Official information is on babylonlabs.io.

What to check before using BABY

  • Token releases: only part of the initial supply was in circulation at launch, so later releases and staking rewards can add supply to the market.
  • Staking risks: staked tokens can be locked for a period, and validator performance affects what you earn, so read the staking terms first.
  • Bitcoin staking is new and complex, and relies on cryptographic constructions and software that carry smart contract and implementation risk.
  • Shared ticker: other tokens use similar names, so confirm you are dealing with the Babylon network token before buying or transferring.
  • The token is volatile, and its value depends on adoption of Bitcoin staking.
